Automated translation of your posts

15.03.2024 | Thanks to automated translation, Screenimage Pro eliminates the manual effort required to translate your posts. Content in Screenimage Pro and Screenimage Mobile can be translated automatically and, if required, subsequently refined manually.

In addition, it is now possible to define individually for each post whether it should be translated or not — a level of flexibility that was not previously available. Custom word lists can also be stored to specify which terms should remain unchanged or intentionally not be translated. This ensures you retain full control over technical terminology and company‑specific expressions at all times.

A post written in German will automatically be displayed in French at locations in Romandy. For editors, this represents a significant time savings, as they now only need to enter the same post once. Experience shows that the internal coordination around text translations is also associated with considerable effort. All of this contradicts our vision that content creation should be quick and easy—because the faster the creation process, the more relevant the content. For translation, we therefore use the online service DeepL Pro and currently have access to 29 languages.

Automated translation is not only suitable for companies with a multilingual branch network but also actively helps reduce language barriers within the organization. Many companies employ staff whose native language differs from the primary language used for communication. Depending on their language proficiency, parts of the workforce may not be able to participate equally. With automated, multilingual publishing, you ensure that all employees receive relevant information in the language they understand best. Here are two ways you can implement this in the future:

Digital Signage

Use the option to have your posts translated directly into the most commonly spoken languages. This is also ideal for bilingual locations.

Employee App

All your posts in the app are automatically displayed in the language in which the employee has set their smartphone. This means that everyone can now read the posts in their native language.

The feature is free of charge for all customers (Screenimage Pro & Screenimage Mobile). However, updating the templates requires some effort (1–2 hours), which is of course negligible compared to the time savings.
