INITIAL SITUATION<\/h2>\n

Localsearch is a wholly owned subsidiary of Swisscom. Through local.ch and search.ch, the company operates the two directory platforms with the widest reach in Switzerland. The company employs 600 people across Switzerland at its four main locations in Zurich, Bern, Sion, and Lausanne. In addition, the company offers numerous other products and services that help SMEs improve their online visibility, attract new customers, and retain them over the long term. With simple and effective online marketing solutions, expert on-site consulting, and an attractive price-performance ratio, localsearch contributes to the success of Swiss SMEs in the digital world.

\r\nThe localsearch communications team, which is also responsible for internal communications, was looking for a solution to provide their colleagues with all the relevant information they need for their daily work. The goal was to create a platform that gives employees access to all internal information, regardless of whether they are currently in the office, on the go, or working from home.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n

SOLUTION<\/h2>\n

Together with the team at localsearch, ahead and Screenimage developed a concept that combines digital signage (information screens), the intranet, and a mobile app so that employees receive information through one channel or another depending on their work situation.

\r\nDigital Signage
\r\nThe info screens are used to provide employees with the latest information quickly and directly. To this end, info monitors were installed at \u201ckey\u201d locations, such as the cafeteria. This highlights the great strength of digital signage: content is noticed \u201cin passing\u201d without employees having to actively search for it.
\r\nThe info screens are used, among other things, to display company news, event notices, or announcements. In addition to manual updates, the screens are automatically populated with content from the intranet.

\r\nahead Intranet & App
\r\nAll employees have access to the ahead intranet solution and are connected to one another through it. Here they can find all company-related information. In ahead, they can also share their experiences and insights in the form of stories with photos and videos with the entire company and exchange ideas about the various content. With the mobile version (app), employees can access the platform\u2019s content even while on the go or at home.

\r\nThis solution demonstrates the potential that combining and integrating digital signage, the intranet, and an employee app can offer in practice for reaching all employees. Thanks to cloud technologies, all display devices are seamlessly integrated. The platform can be easily expanded to meet the company\u2019s future communication needs.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n
