INITIAL SITUATION<\/h2>\n

With approximately 7,000 trainees across 60 vocational training programs and 1,000 students in 40 continuing education programs, the Bern Vocational School is the largest vocational school in Switzerland. The organization is divided into six departments and spread across seven locations in the city of Bern. The goal was to develop a system through which both cross-school and department-specific information could be disseminated. The project aimed to take into account the requirements and needs of all stakeholders so that the system would ultimately be supported by everyone.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n

SOLUTION<\/h2>\n

The implemented solution is a combination of static and interactive screens.
\r\n
\r\nThe static screens display a mix of school-wide (school administration) and location-specific information (department). The screens are located in the entrance areas. The information displayed on them stands out and is immediately noticed by everyone. In addition to manually updated content, the auditorium\u2019s event calendar, a news feed, and the solar panel performance metrics are also integrated.

\r\nThrough the interactive screens, interested parties (students, continuing education clients, staff, and visitors) can actively access the information they need. The touch function displays current class and course schedules, continuing education offerings, contact persons, and much more. All this information is fully automated and integrated via an interface from the website and WebUntis. The data is therefore always up to date without the need for manual screen updates.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n
