20.07.2023 | Intel’s announcement that it would discontinue production of the NUC PCs — particularly popular in the Digital Signage market — caused quite a stir in the industry. Although several well‑known PC manufacturers had already announced that they would continue offering comparable devices and might even expand their product lines, today brought the good news: Asus and Intel have reached an agreement under which Asus will take over the entire NUC product portfolio.
The Taiwanese PC specialist will take over the complete Next Unit of Computing (NUC) portfolio from the 10th to the 13th generation. For this purpose, Asus will establish a dedicated business unit called “Asus NUC BU.” Preliminary agreements have already been signed, according to Intel’s official announcement.
