The Hirslanden Private Hospital Group is the largest private hospital chain in Switzerland. The hospital group has 17 clinics in 10 cantons. Hirslanden has more than 2,500 affiliated doctors and employs over 10,000 staff.
After several years of working for individual Hirslanden Group clinics, the Hirslanden management decided in 2018 to introduce Screenimage Pro as the standard solution for digital signage.
The challenge was to develop a concept that was standardised as far as possible, but at the same time could be tailored to the individual needs of the clinics. Information should be able to be disseminated both group-wide and on a site-specific basis. The solution also had to be designed in such a way that all target groups of hospital communication (patients, visitors and employees) could be provided with the relevant information.

2018SOLUTION
Based on this question, a digital signage solution was developed consisting of three screen categories: Internal, external and welcome screens.
As the name suggests, the internal screens display information that is specifically aimed at employees and must not be seen by visitors and patients. For this reason, the screens are also installed in the staff zones.
The external screens show news and information intended for the «general public». This content covers the needs of visitors and patients. For example, the screens contain categories in which the employees per department or current events are displayed. However, the most popular category by far is the baby gallery. Pictures of newborn babies from the last few days appear here. The screens are prominently placed in the corridors, in front of lifts or in the restaurants.
In addition to selected information from the external screens, images and videos are played on the welcome screens. The visual worlds are intended to create a pleasant atmosphere and convey the values of Hirslanden. The screens are often the first thing visitors notice when they enter the clinic.
